About
I always loved painting and drawing, but it’s only been in the last ten years that I have devoted myself to creating art. I live on Gadigal land (Sydney), and work mainly in oils. Since completing my Advanced Diploma in Visual Art at TAFE Meadowbank in 2022, I have continued to build my practice through study, mentorship, and exhibition.
My work focuses on the Australian landscape, alongside series in still life and portraiture. I have studied with artists including Ashley Frost, Nicole Kelly, and most recently Matilda Michell, whose guidance in classical oil techniques has been invaluable. In 2024 I was accepted as a mentee with artist Geoff Levitus in France, developing a body of work around figures in the landscape. I continue to explore drawing and mixed media through regular life drawing sessions, plein air sketching and painting, and studio work.
My work has been exhibited in solo, duo, and group shows, including a 2025 duo exhibition at the Glebe Shop Gallery. I have been a finalist in the the Hunters Hill Art Prize (2022, 2023, 2026), Waverley Woollahra 9 x 5 Art Prize (2024, 2025), the Greenway Art Prize (2022, 2024), and the Packsaddle at NERAM (2020, 2022, 2025), as well as the Georges River Art Prize (2023). Other exhibitions include the Glebe Art Show (2022-2025), the Inner West Urban Edge Contemporary Art Prize (2019), the Incognito Art Show (2021-2026), and various other community and fundraising exhibitions.
I am always keen to learn and extend my practice, so I value the community of artists I have connected with through shared studio spaces, classes, retreats, and mentoring. I now feel I have found a strong direction as an oil painter, and I am really committed to developing my work further, expressing myself with a focus on the landscapes that inspire me most.
